A Short Video

Just thought I would post a little video of Iguazu Falls. We traveled there in November and were amazed at the amount of water that comes over these falls. They are huge and beautiful. You can definitely see the hand of God at work on this one :)

The last couple of months have been pretty fun for our family. We had a great Christmas. We really missed our family and friends in the States, but we had many new friends here that helped us celebrate Christmas and New Years. It is hard to celebrate Christmas so far away from what we were used to, and it is strange celebrating Christmas in 100 degree weather. God has given us other things to celebrate and focus on. We paid a lot for an 8 pound turkey, but it helped us feel more at home. Some of the other missionaries here came over after Sherry cooked turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, and dessert. We couldn't find pumpkin pie filling, so we missed that tradition.

As far as traditions go, we kept to what we would have done at home. We got up, gathered in the living room, I read the Christmas story, we sang some Christmas carols, prayed, and sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. Then, we opened gifts. Afterwards, Sherry made a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, onions, and spices all together in a sandwich. Then, we played games, enjoyed the day together, and had the aforementioned dinner later that night. All in all, it was a nice day with the family.

We hope and pray that you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. We love and miss you all!

Blessings,

Charley

Dear Charley, Sherry, and kids,

Again, it is such a blessing to hear what the Lord is doing in the lives of you, our missionaries to Paraguay!

I was excited to hear about the Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames ministry, as that is the ministry I first came to know the Lord at. (I was one of the party people in the house that blew to the ground in a "tornado" and hell seemed more real to me that night than ever before.) I cried when I heard about the woman whose whole family got saved. I am so thrilled to know that so many people came to the altars. (Charley, it's ok if you use notes, I'm sure they are grateful to you for speaking to them in their language) Great job to you, Sherry, and to your children for working so hard. I know little things go unnoticed but God sees every work you do for Him! Praise the Lord!

I know this is a change in subject, but I am asking for a small favor from your children. I am the Children's Church director at the Exeter Assembly of God and we have changed our curriculum this year to "Walking Through the Bible." On the first of the month, we talk about missions in their level to teach our kids about missions from all over the world. I would like to know if your children could write a small "letter" telling about missions from their point of view. More "kid-friendly" I guess is what I am looking for. We are now having upwards of 20 kids in Children's Church and the Lord is really doing a work in their lives. Two that I know of have said they might want to be missionaries. The Lord knows their hearts.

Please, if they could write something to me by March 1st as that is when we will be discussing Paraguay, that would be most appreciated. My email address is sgtmacsdaughter@hotmail.com

Thanks again in advance!
Love in Christ
